Laura Leventhall – Ward Gethin Archer

Laura Leventhall HeadshotDescribe your business services?

We are a legal firm advising businesses and individuals on a wide range of legal matters, including divorce and child arrangements, buying and selling residential and property, refinancing property, business and company sales and purchases, employment law, and dispute resolution.

Who is your target client?

I deal with all transactional matters in relation to commercial property, businesses and companies.  I can assist you with:

  • buying, selling or refinancing your commercial property;
  • preparing the lease when you are letting the property;
  • advising you as a tenant when you are taking a new lease;
  • preparing your partnership agreements or shareholders’ agreements and advising you on the legal aspects of these agreements (alongside your accountants for input on the tax and accounts elements of the agreements); and
  • assisting you with the sale or purchase of your business / company.

What is the benefit of using your business/service/product?

I can assist you with a wide range of matters for your business – from taking the lease of your first premises, assisting with further leases and purchases as your business expands, to the sale of your business.  Working with Ward Gethin Archer, you will have access to lawyers with a range of expertise – we can assist you with any disputes which arise with customers or suppliers through to personal matters such as moving home.

Why did you choose this business?

I enjoy assisting people with legal matters which arise with their businesses – legal documentation can be lengthy and complex, and I get a lot of satisfaction in simplifying matters so we can focus on making sure that the documentation covers the matters you need it to cover.

What 3 words best describe you?

Friendly, problem-solver, reliable

What is your favourite sweet treat?

Tiramisu

If you could offer 1 bit of advice to start-up businesses what would it be?

Definitely get legal advice on your first lease – there may be optional clauses which you have not considered which we can bring to your attention to then discuss with your landlord, such as reductions in rent whilst you are getting set up for trading or break clauses to give you the ability to bring the end date of the lease forward if you find the premises are no longer suitable for your business.
